Crystal Palace allegedly want to make a move for Kieran Gibbs.
The left-back had fell behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger could cash in on the defender, who has just 18 months left on his contract.
Gibbs picked up an injury in Arsenal's Boxing Day win over West Brom and Wenger admitted he didn't know how long the 27-year-old would be out for.
The Sun said that Swansea are also interested in Gibbs but a move to Selhurst Park is more likely.
Giroud set to sign new deal
Olivier Giroud has affirmed he is ready to sign a contract extension after a heart-to-heart with Arsene Wenger.
Gunners striker, Olivier Giroud, whose current contract expires in 2018, admits he was troubled about his Arsenal future after being left frustrated by a lack of play-time this season.
Giroud has struggled with injury, Alexis Sanchez has become Arsenal’s main striker and the Frenchman did not make his first Premier League start until Boxing Day.
But despite his frustrations, Giroud made it clear that he is set to commit his future and fight for his place after being given assurances by Arsenal boss, Wenger.
Giroud, 30, said: “People have been saying I have signed a new contract. It is not true but maybe soon.
“I came back a bit late from the Euros and it was nice for my body because I could rest but not good for me because the team was doing well and another striker was doing well up front.
“This season has been difficult because also I was injured for a month and a half so it hasn’t been easy."
Wenger addresses bust-up between Gabriel and Perez
Arsene Wenger has addressed the moment Gabriel Paulista and Lucas Perez came together at the end of Arsenal's game with West Brom.
The Arsenal teammates were involved in a row at the end of the match, which Olivier Giroud won for his team with a late header.
It is not entirely clear exactly what the on-pitch argument was about, which carried on as the two players left the pitch through the tunnel.
Speaking about the incident, Wenger insisted there was nothing to worry about, adding he did not believe anything "bad happened".
The Gunners boss said: "I don't know what it's about, I didn't see it.
"But they have a South American temper, and Spanish, so that can sometimes happen. I don't believe that anything bad happened.
"They are two good friends, very close to each other. So that is already forgotten now."
Wilshere: Chelsea look like champions
Jack Wilshere believes “ruthless” Chelsea already have the look of champions.
The Arsenal and England midfielder, on-loan at Bournemouth, was part of the Cherries side thrashed 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.
He admitted: “They look like champions at the minute, for me at the moment they're the best team in the league.
“There's still a long way to go of course, so you can't say they're definitely going to win the league - but at the minute they look like the strongest.”
Wilshere’s main club, Arsenal, were 1-0 winners over West Brom on Monday to reignite their own hopes.
But Antonio Conte’s relentless league leaders have now pulled off 12 wins in a row, a club record.
