You can't make it up. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic, you don't have to.
The great Swede and ageless superstar of Manchester United. Voted 14th on Monday night in the Balon d'Or voting for a year he was allowed to go for free from PSG and retired from international football.
He is getting a statue made in his image in Sweden, to be displayed outside the Friends Arena in Stockholm.
The piece appears to still be a work in progress, only at the plaster cast stage of construction, but Zlatan has seen enough to know he'll like what he sees in its full bronze glory.
Of course he does.
He visited the statue on Monday and shared a smiling image of himself with it, along with a brilliant Zlatan line.
"When you come to New York you have the Statue of Liberty, when you come to Sweden you have the Statue of Zlatan," he wrote on Instagram.
The Swedish FA announced the 2.7-metre likeness when presenting Ibrahimovic with his 10th consecutive national Golden Ball.
