Arsenal and Manchester City both grabbed much-needed wins on Boxing Day as table-toppers, Chelsea stormed to their 12th successive victory.
The Blues fought off the absence of Diego Costa and N'Golo Kante to dismantle Bournemouth 3-0, while a late winner from Olivier Giroud rescued three points for Arsenal against West Brom.
City are Chelsea's nearest challengers following a 3-0 win of their own in the late kick-off at Hull closed the gap at the top of the table to seven points.
But who caught the eye in those three matches and the other festive fixtures?
Here is the SportXclusive team of the day...
GOALKEEPER:
Ben Foster
Unlucky to be on the losing side, the Baggies keeper made a string of stunning saves before he was beaten by Olivier Giroud’s late Arsenal winning goal.
DEFENDERS:
Hector Bellerin
His return is a huge boost for the Gunners in their title pursuit. The young Spanish full-back's pace caused West Brom a headache throughout.
Ashley Williams
Another huge performance at the heart of Everton’s defence during their win at Leicester. What a bargain buy the Welshman is proving to be.
Winston Reid
During the tough times, the New Zealander stood out as one of West Ham’s best performers. Now he is being rewarded with wins and his goal put the gloss on another assured display in defence.
Daley Blind
The Dutchman has been linked with an exit at Old Trafford. But not on this form - and he had a goal to celebrate too.
MIDFIELDERS:
Pedro
The former Barcelona bagged a brace against Bournemouth to extend Chelsea’s winning run to 12.
Yaya Toure
Frozen out earlier in the season, the midfielder looks like he’s never been away as his 72nd minute penalty kickstarted City’s 3-0 win at Hull.
Paul Pogba
Arguably his best outing in a Manchester United shirt yet. The world’s most expensive player pulled the strings in the comfortable 3-1 win over Sunderland.
FORWARDS:
Eden Hazard
On target again, the Belgian is back to his best under Antonio Conte. He was outstanding and unstoppable against Bournemouth.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The evergreen Swede just keeps on getting better and better. He scored his 12th league goal of the season and added his first Premier League assist too.
Andy Carroll
Despite his injury woes, he promised to be West Ham’s 15-goal striker - and he looks on course to do so (if he stays fit) with his unstoppable 90th minute volley against Swansea.
